LIGHTING CONTROL SYSTEM UPGRADE
Restoring reliable lighting control & automation for an office and laboratory facility.
Customer need
The customer was experiencing reliability issues with an ageing lighting control system servicing both office and laboratory areas. The existing automation controller had become unreliable and no longer provided the level of control originally intended for the facility.
Intralec was engaged to investigate the system and recommend a suitable upgrade that would restore functionality while improving day-to-day management.
What we did
- Identified the outdated automation controller as the source of reliability issues.
- Installed a new C-Bus Wiser controller and touchscreen interface.
- Restored lighting schedules and control functionality.
- Added remote-access capability.
- Integrated emergency lighting test functionality.
How it helped
The upgraded system restored reliable lighting control throughout the facility while giving onsite staff the ability to make simple schedule and operational changes without relying on contractors.
Remote access improved ongoing system management, and emergency lighting testing can now be completed during normal operating hours with less disruption to staff and facility operations.
