BRING US
IN EARLY.
Getting us involved early means the electrical, lighting, controls and energy systems can be planned into the design and allowed for in the future, before construction starts and changes become difficult.
Early project input
Getting the electrical right early
Good electrical work starts well before rough-in. We can work with the builder, architect and client during design and planning to identify what needs to be allowed for before decisions become difficult or expensive to change. We work with builders and designers on projects in Newcastle, Maitland and the Hunter Valley.
Things worth considering early
- Lighting and switching
Consider how spaces will actually be used before locations and switching are locked in.
- Power and data
Coordinate outlets, equipment and data with cabinetry, furniture and the building layout.
- Solar, batteries and EV charging
Consider current and future requirements while cable pathways and equipment locations are easier to accommodate.
- Solar and batteries in the design
Plan solar panels, inverters and batteries into the design so they are part of the building, not an add-on fitted later.
- Controls and automation
Keep controls and automation simple and easy to update, so they make daily life easier without becoming a maintenance problem.
Who we work alongside
- Builders
- Architects

Project stages
Design & planning
We can provide electrical input while the drawings and selections are still taking shape.
Selections & coordination
Work through lighting, switching, outlets, equipment and controls alongside cabinetry, finishes and room layouts.
Construction
Install and coordinate the electrical work with the builder and other trades as the project progresses.
Commissioning & handover
Test the completed systems, set up controls where required and walk the client through how everything works. We stay available to support the home after the build.
On your team
Lighting, controls and energy in the same team
We work alongside the builder, designer and other trades to turn the design into something practical and buildable. We’re not home automation integrators, but we put a lot of weight on good lighting design and control. Automation should make life easier and save time, not become a maintenance issue down the track, so we keep designs simple and easy to update as the technology changes.
