How we approach the work
Confirm what is required
We start with why the inspection or testing is being carried out and what information is required. This might be a thermal imaging report requested by an insurer, a periodic assessment, RCD testing or investigation of known electrical defects.
Inspect and test
We carry out the inspection and testing relevant to the scope. For thermal imaging, switchboards and electrical equipment are inspected under suitable operating conditions so the thermal patterns can be assessed properly.
Report and rectify
We document the relevant findings and identify what needs attention. Where required, we can also carry out the electrical rectification work and record what has been completed.

Thermal imaging
Thermal imaging reports are often requested by commercial insurers or brokers as part of electrical risk management. Requirements vary, so check with your insurer or broker if they have specified an inspection frequency or reporting format.
Routine electrical testing
We provide RCD testing and test & tag where required. For regular high-volume testing programs, we may recommend a dedicated testing provider where that is more cost-effective.

What is a periodic assessment of an electrical installation?
It is an assessment of an existing electrical installation using inspection and testing to identify electrical safety issues and determine its condition. We can carry out periodic assessments to AS/NZS 3019:2022.
Can you fix defects identified during an inspection?
Yes. Where the required work is within our electrical scope, we can carry out the rectification and record what has been completed.
