PART OF
YOUR SITE TEAM.
We work alongside mining contractors and equipment owners on the electrical side of the project: preparing mobile plant, planning site power, supporting mobilisation and keeping equipment running once it’s on site.
On the project
Working as part of the project
Mining projects involve equipment, contractors and site requirements that all need to come together at the right time. We work alongside the project team to prepare equipment, get the electrical setup right and provide support as the job progresses.
Where we can contribute
- Preparing equipment
Electrical work, controls and required documentation considered before equipment leaves the yard.
- Site power
Working through the electrical requirements for equipment and temporary power before mobilisation.
- Mobilisation and commissioning
Supporting setup, connection, testing and commissioning when equipment reaches site.
- Ongoing support
Fault finding, breakdown work, maintenance and electrical changes as the project progresses.
Who we work alongside
- Project managers
- Site supervisors
- Plant owners
- Maintenance teams
- Equipment and generator suppliers
- Contractors
Project stages
Before mobilisation
We work through power requirements and prepare the electrical side of mobile equipment before it leaves the yard, including documentation where required. On critical equipment, this can include organising drawings, manuals and critical spares for site.
During mobilisation
We support the electrical setup onsite, including connection, testing, commissioning and any electrical changes identified during mobilisation.
Operations
We provide fault finding, breakdown and maintenance support while the project is operating, including hazardous area electrical (EEHA) installation and maintenance for equipment in classified zones.
Expansion
When equipment is added or the site changes, we can work through the electrical requirements and help integrate the changes into the existing setup.
On site
Keeping equipment running on site
On these projects the priority is keeping plant and equipment operating, and getting breakdowns sorted quickly when they happen. On critical projects where downtime is costly, we’ve taken extra steps during setup: making sure drawings and manuals are available on site, putting together critical spare parts lists, and getting those parts on site before they’re needed.
We use our experience to point out risks early and work through how to reduce them. We work with mine site engineers so equipment meets the site’s introduction requirements, and we’re familiar with the access and safety systems used on mining and resources sites.
On your team
Electrical support across the project
Alongside the day-to-day electrical work, we can help with earthing arrangements, generator selection, battery storage, control systems, and the drawings and documentation a site needs for introduction and ongoing maintenance.
