System Electrics & Engineering Pty Ltd (ABN 90 169 960 936), trading as Intralec, respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, who it goes to and how you can reach us about it. It follows the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Last updated 29 October 2026.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry through the contact form or an enquiry form on a service or sector page, we collect what you type:
- your name and phone number;
- your email address, company name and suburb or site location, where you give them;
- the details of the job: how urgent it is, property type, existing system, main goal and your message;
- the service, sector and page you were on when you sent it.
The urgent callback form collects your name, phone number, site or suburb and a short note.
Sending an enquiry also records how you reached us: the page you landed on, the website that referred you, any campaign tags in the link you followed (such as utm tags or an ad click identifier) and the time of your first visit. Your browser holds this in session storage while you browse, and it is attached to your enquiry when you send one. We do not use it to identify you beyond that enquiry.
We do not ask for payment details, and we do not collect anything through the form you did not type or select.
Why we collect it
To reply to your enquiry, arrange and quote work, and keep a record of the job. We also use the referral details to see which pages and channels bring us enquiries. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.
Who it goes to
Your enquiry is delivered to Intralec by email, and recorded in our job management system, Simpro, so the right person can follow it up. We use these service providers to run the website and handle your information on our behalf:
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website, runs its enquiry handling and stores the enquiry records;
- an email delivery service, which carries the enquiry email to us;
- Simpro, our job management software;
- for urgent callback requests, an SMS service that texts our team the request so we can call you back.
This site is also protected from automated spam by a hidden field and, where switched on, Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that the sender is a person. Where the website chat assistant is switched on, what you type into it is processed by the chat service that runs it, so please keep it to what we need to help you.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it. We do not give your information to anyone else for their own use.
Sending information overseas
Cloudflare operates a global network, so your information may be handled on servers outside Australia while it is delivered to us or stored. Our other providers may also store information outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to make sure they handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Cookies, storage and analytics
This website does not set advertising cookies. It uses your browser's session storage to carry the referral details above until you send an enquiry. It counts page views on our own servers, without cookies and without recording your IP address. When you tap a phone number on the site, a signal that someone tapped a call link, with no personal details, is sent so we can tell the call is likely to arrive. If a page fails to run properly, a short technical error report (the page address and the error, not your details) is sent to us so we can fix it.
If we add website analytics or advertising tags, such as Google Analytics, we will update this policy first.
Keeping it safe
Enquiries travel over an encrypted connection and are held with the providers above, which restrict access to the people who need it. No online system is perfectly secure, so please do not put sensitive information, such as passwords or payment details, in an enquiry. We keep enquiry records for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and meet our business and legal obligations, then delete or de-identify them.
Access and correction
You can ask us for the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong, out of date or incomplete. Contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days, and may need to confirm who you are first.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first and we will look into it and reply in writing. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
