INDUSTRIAL MACHINE ELECTRICAL & THERMAL INSPECTION
Electrical and thermal inspection of a large industrial machine to identify potential issues, support servicing and improve ongoing maintenance.
Customer need
The machine required electrical inspection and servicing, with particular attention given to the electric motors powering the hydraulic system. Motor cooling was a key concern, requiring further investigation to identify potential heat-related issues.
What we did
- Completed a visual inspection of the machine and electrical equipment.
- Carried out electrical measurements to support inspection and reporting.
- Used thermal imaging to assess heat patterns across the electric motors.
- Investigated areas of concern identified through thermal imaging.
- Cleaned the affected equipment and lubricated motor bearings.
How it helped
Thermal imaging provided a fast and efficient way to identify heat patterns requiring further investigation. Combined with visual inspection and electrical measurements, it helped direct maintenance to potential issues, supporting reduced downtime and maintenance costs.
